Psychology Week is an annual initiative of the Australian Psychological Society that aims to increase public awareness of how psychology can help Australians lead healthier, happier and more meaningful lives.

In 2016 the Australian Psychological Society (APS) has introduced the Compass for Life, a campaign that will help Australians measure and improve their happiness and wellbeing by promoting Ways to Thrive.

During #psychweek, the APS will publish results from a national survey measuring Australians’ wellbeing and life satisfaction and offer strategies – #waystothrive – to help Australians build their own wellbeing toolkit.

The APS invites its members and the public to participate by hosting or attending events as well as sharing their own successful #waystothrive via social media.

Annually, a national media campaign is run and hundreds of events are hosted around Australia.
